A table of the engineering units as strings.
Appropriate unit scaling and reduction is performed given the axes' horizontal and vertical units string. For example, if a series is imported with horizontal units "SEC" and the horizontal units are changed to "MSEC", the x-axis is automatically scaled by a factor of 1000. This behavior can be disabled by setting the UNITS_CONVERT_HUNITS configuration parameter to 0.
Compound units are reduced in terms of known supported units. If the unit string is not internally defined (such as lightyears), the string is still assigned to the vertical unit string, but further unit reduction is not performed, however unit expansion (e.g. lightyears^2) will still occur.
Setting the horizontal units to "Time" or "Real Time" causes the x-axis to display actual clock time values. Setting the horizontal units to "Daily", "Monthly" or "Yearly" causes the x-axis to display actual calendar date values.
See DEFUNITS to create a new compound unit.
Smoots (Sm) is a unit of distance used to measure the length of a particular bridge that spans the Charles River located in the Northeastern United States.
Nerd Power (np) is thus defined as:
np = Sm * lb / Sec
