Legend Font

Sets the default legend font to a built-in font. Press Config Font to configure the selected font.

Border Width

Sets the default border width in pixels for legends with a border.

Legend Position

Sets the default target position of the legend. A legend placed on the Paper is drawn within the plotting area and scrolls with the series. Other targets remain fixed.

Check Lock Position to prevent the user from moving, editing or deleting the legend once it is displayed. The properties are still available by double clicking.

Symbol Width

Sets the default size of the symbols used by a legend.

Fixed Location

Specifies the fixed location of the text inside the plot border or around the window border. The text remains in the specified location regardless of the window size.

Horizontal

Select to draw the legend horizontally instead of vertically.

Adjust Margin

Determines which window plot margin should be automatically adjusted to accommodate the legend. Available for legends with a Text Position of Window Margin, Horizontal Plot Margin, Worksheet Margin or Vertical Plot Margin.

Select Stretch to Fit to center legend within a margin.

Define New Color

Press to create a new color for the legend foreground and/or background.

Border Color

Specifies the default border color around the legend when Draw Text Border is selected. Select Use Series Color to automatically draw the legend border in the same color as the primary series.

Text Color

Specifies the default text color of the legend. Select Use Series Color to automatically draw the legend text in the same color as the primary series. Select Use Window Color to automatically draw the legend text in the same color as the plotting area background.

Background Color

Specifies the default legend background color. Select Use Window Color to automatically draw the legend background in the same color as the plotting area background. Select Use Series Color to automatically draw the legend background in the same color as the primary series.

Legend Text Template

Specifies the basic format of the legend text.

Select Use Series Comment to set the legend text to the comment of the series.

Select Use Dataset and Series Name to set the legend text to full dataset and series name of the series.

Select Use Series Name Only to set the legend text to the name of the series without the dataset name.

Select Custom Text (must include %d) to set the legend text to a user specified function used to generate the custom text. The %d integer format specifier must be included as an argument to the custom text function. Enter the custom function in the Custom Template input box.

Restore Defaults

Press Restore Defaults to restore the legend settings to the system default values.
