Date/Time

Sets the format for series with date and or time units. A series with date/time horizontal units displays tic values in terms of actual calendar or clock time. The starting date and time is determined by the series start date and start time.

Use the sethunits function to specify a date/time horizontal unit. The following date/time units are supported:

Real Time Displays clock time with fractional seconds.
Time Displays clock time in whole seconds.
Daily Displays calendar days.
Yearly Displays calendar years.
Quarterly Displays business quarters from the start of the calendar year.
Minutely Displays clock time in minutes.
Business Days Displays normal work week days.

Date/Time Axes

Controls how dates and times are combined for horizontal units display.

Display Date or Time Displays either date or time values depending on the horizontal units of the series.
Display Both Date and Time Displays combined date and time values.

Year Month Day Display Order

Sets the order of year, month and day for date display.

MDY Month, Day, Year, default for English (USA) locales.
DMY Day, Month, Year, ascending date order.
YMD Year, Month, Day, descending date order. Default for international locales.

Date Format

Sets the date display format based on the Year Month Day Display Order for horizontal date units.


Time Format

Sets the clock time display format for horizontal time units.


Time Axis Precision

Sets the number of decimal places for fractional seconds for series with the Real Time horizontal unit.


2 Digit Missing Century Processing

Determines the method for date processing when only 2 digits appear for the year information.

Use Current Century All 2 digit years are assumed to reference a year within the current century.
Use N Year Window A 2 digit year references a year either forward or backward within a N year window from the current date. Set the year window with N Year Window Width. Recommended.

N Year Window Width

Sets the width of the year window from the current date to determine 2 digit years. Valid when Use N Year Window is selected.
