Download Instructions

• Click the "Download Now" button for your version of DADiSP and OPEN or SAVE the file.
• If the update does not self-extract, run the self-installing executable up65b0103.exe (Domestic) or up65b0103i.exe (International) or up65b0103f.exe (Floating License) from the Start-Run Taskbar or a MS-DOS command window.
• The update will verify and modify your installation as necessary. Your existing configuration, license, password and data files will not be altered.
• The International and Floating License Version may require a new password and/or license file after the application of the update. Follow the on-screen instructions displayed by DADiSP to receive your new password.
• Updates are cumulative, all features and corrections of previous updates are incorporated into the current update.
• Floating License Note:
  The update includes help files in Windows 7 and Vista compatible CHM format. However, because security patches may prevent these files from opening across a network, the updated register.exe utility located on the server copies the help files to the client machine. Thus, after updating to B03, we recommend running register.exe on each client.

DADiSP 6.5 B03 Update Requirements

This update is available for authorized DADiSP 6.5 B01 products or higher only. If you have DADiSP 6.5 B01 or B02 or a version of DADiSP 6.5 B03 released prior to February 16, 2011, application of this update is recommended.

If your major version number of DADiSP is less than 6.5 (DADiSP/2002 or prior), please contact us about upgrading to DADiSP 6.5.

This update corrects and adds the following capabilities to DADiSP 6.5:

Build 03 Specific Changes

Below is a list of changes and improvements specific to DADiSP 6.5 B03:

New Features and Functions

1. BITMAX returns the largest positive floating point integer.
2. DISP displays a value as text in the status line.
3. FDERIV computes the frequency domain derivative.
4. FPADFILT performs FFT based FIR filtering with end padding.
5. GETXLIDX returns the leftmost index of a displayed series.
6. GETXRIDX returns the rightmost index of a displayed series.
7. GETYL returns the leftmost Y value of a displayed series.
8. GETYR returns the rightmost Y value of a displayed series.
9. INSERTCOL inserts a column into a table.
10. ISHANDLE returns non-zero if input is a shape or text handle.
11. ISOBJECT returns 1 if input is an ActiveX handle or checks the Registry if the input is a string.
12. ISWINDS returns 1 if the window contains a saved series.
13. ISXYZ returns 1 if input is an XYZ series.
14. NUM2STR converts a numeric to a string.
15. OVERPLOTALL overplots one or more series onto a stripchart.
16. REPLACECOL replaces values of a column in a table.
17. SPLCOMPILEALL compiles one or more SPL files in a folder.
18. SPLLOADALL compiles and loads one or more SPL files in a folder.
19. UNOVERPLOTALL removes one or more overplots from a stripchart.
20. VIEWTEXT displays text in a dialog box.

Improvements and Changes

1. Ternary conditionals (a ? b : c) performance increase for series arguments.
2. Exiting the debugger breaks out of the current calculation.
3. eps(X) returns the positive distance from abs(X) such that
   X + eps(X) != X.
4. For scalar a, a[1] == a, i.e. array references work with scalar variables..

1. MKDIR creates nested directories correctly.
2. FPRINTF handles SPRINTF format strings correctly.
3. LEVELCROSS processes large series correctly.
4. switch handles negative case properly.
5. LOADDATASET and LOADSERIES propagate calculations properly

Vista/Windows 7 Support

DADiSP 6.5 B03 includes native HTML help files compatible with Vista and Windows 7. Help access is unchanged - use the standard pull down menus or command form.
