DADiSP / ReadKSBin 1.1
Keysight BIN File
The Keysight BIN file is a compact binary format used to efficiently store
multi-channel waveform data from Keysight instruments
such as oscilloscopes and signal generators.
A
.bin file consists of a single file header followed
by multiple waveform headers for each channel. The waveform headers include
important metadata such as the series sample rate, engineering
units and date/time. Each waveform header is followed by a buffer header
that describes the binary representation of the actual data samples.
DADiSP/ReadKSBin reads and processes the various headers to automatically produce
scaled engineering data with proper sample rates and units.
ReadKSBin Formats
Multiple waveform types are recognized including normal, peak detection,
average, counts and logic data. BIN file versions 1, 3 and 10 are supported.
Simple User Interface
DADiSP/ReadKSBin runs from the DADiSP worksheet and is accessed
by a press of a button. The ReadKSBin user interface displays
important file information and transfers appropriately scaled engineering values. The data
is converted directly and efficiently, with no need to rely on intermediate
TXT or CSV formats.
Full Analysis System
DADiSP provides a complete analysis, display, and processing
environment using ReadKSBin data. The integration of
DADiSP/ReadKSBin into DADiSP makes it easy to automate data import
and analysis applications completely through SPL (Series Processing
Language), macros, and command files.
See
Keysight for more information on Keysight hardware and software products.
