REGISTERCONTROL

Purpose:

Registers an ActiveX control.

Syntax:

REGISTERCONTROL("controlname", unregister)

"controlname"

-

A string. The name of the control DLL or OCX.

unregister

-

Optional. An integer, the unregister flag.

0:

register control (default)

1:

unregister control

Returns:

An integer, 1 if successful.

Example:

/* register the dadisp web worksheet control */
registercontrol("dadispweb.ocx");

Registers the DADiSP Web control.

Example:

/* unregister the dadisp web worksheet control */
registercontrol("dadispweb.ocx", 1)

Unregisters the DADiSP Web control.

Remarks:

Most ActiveX controls require registration to place necessary information in the Registry. Although registration normally occurs when the control is first installed, REGISTERCONTROL offers a programmatic method for registering controls.

REGISTERCONTROL directly invokes the DllRegisterServer or DllUnregisterServer procedure located in the control DLL or OCX file.
