Use the Advanced Button in the Import Data dialog box when:
your data file has a header that you would like to skip
you want to import only a subset of the points in a data file
you want to import only a single column of data from a multi-column data file
Click on the Advanced button to open the Advanced Import Parameters dialog box.
Use the Advanced Import Parameters dialog box to specify the file offset, column to import, and the number of points to import into the series.
Using the Advanced Import Parameters dialog box, each column in a multi-column data file can be imported individually. If you want to import all (or multiple) columns in one step, you will need to create a DADiSP header file, and indicate those columns which you are interested in importing. See the sections on Creating a DADiSP Header File and Using the Load Button for more information.
